Structure

Four working bodies

The plenary

February and October

It is the decision-making body and brings together all levels of participation. In February it plans the peak season, and in October it evaluates the year's results and approves the following work plan. Agreements are adopted by consensus among full members; when consensus cannot be reached, the proposal is referred to the relevant technical committee for review.

The technical secretariat

Two-year rotation

It prepares the sessions, draws up the minutes, follows up on commitments and keeps the records. For the first term, it is proposed that the Vice Ministry of Tourism hold it, given its institutional and administrative capacity.

The technical committees

Every two months

Made up of a coordinator and a small group of specialists, they prepare the technical documents submitted to the plenary and may draw on invited experts.

  • Tourism information and measurement
  • Tourism product, hospitality and training
  • Heritage, sustainability and safety
  • Promotion and international cooperation

The territorial roundtables

One per corridor

They bring together the dioceses, the departmental government, the municipal governments of the destinations, tour operators and local communities. They drive the tourism development of the territory by planning seasons, coordinating with safety and health services, assisting visitors and formulating projects, and they refer matters of national scope to the plenary.

Liaison committee

Monthly coordination

The technical secretariat and the coordinators of the technical committees and territorial roundtables meet online once a month to ensure smooth and consistent communication across all bodies.

Follow-up of agreements

Defined responsibilities, resources and deadlines

Each plenary agreement identifies the responsible body, the resources available and the implementation deadline. The technical secretariat keeps a public register of commitments, updated after each session, showing the progress of each action at all times.
